Creativity & Performance

Where Inspiration Takes Flight
The arts are where magic and transformation meet.
The Donna Hanson Woolman '88 Music Center and arts expansion will create spaces where students develop their talents while deepening their cultural views and exploring personal passions—where creativity meets courage, young women discover their voices, and artistic experiences shape confident, expressive leaders ready to share their gifts with the world.
Introducing the Donna Hanson Woolman '88 Music Center
Named in memory of a beloved member of the Class of 1988 whose love of music and creative expression left a lasting impression on all who knew her, this new space will transform how our students learn, rehearse, and perform.
The Music Center will include abundant natural light and will significantly expand the program's current footprint, providing an environment intentionally designed for artistic growth and collaboration. The center will feature:
- A dedicated classroom
- Rehearsal spaces
- Practice rooms
- A student commons
This dedicated home for the arts will stand as a lasting tribute — a place where creativity flourishes each day, and where one life continues to inspire countless others.
“The Mount’s music program completely transformed how I view myself as an artist, student, and young woman. With rigorous yet supportive training, this department provided me with gateways to my passions for performance and storytelling, which I look forward to exploring in college and beyond. My dearest bonds and friendships have been nurtured thanks to activities such as Glee Club, Sweet Madelines, and the Fall Musical.”
